Rhinoplasty or nose reshaping surgery requires great expertise not only in carrying it out but also in assessing both the balance and aesthetics of the patient’s face, as well as the functional issues including whether or not the nose has been broken or the patient has difficulty in breathing.

Nose surgery can include:

• refining the shape of a nose (be it the tip, bridge or nostrils),
• repairing a broken nose,
• augmenting a ‘ski slope’ or heavily damaged nose
• repairing the internal tissues to allow a nose to breathe better (a procedure called a septoplasty).

All these issues must be carefully considered by a surgeon prior to
performing the rhinoplasty/septoplasty.
